Translation of Court Judgments

A judgment is a formal document in which a court delivers its decision in a particular case. It typically includes a summary of the case, names of the defendant and prosecution, legal representation, the court’s ruling, reasoning, the verdict date, and the judge’s signature.

Judgments must be written clearly and concisely, avoiding repetition or unnecessarily complex structures. For translation, this means breaking long legal sentences into digestible components without compromising meaning.

Due to their formal structure and legal authority, judgment translations require a legal translator who understands courtroom language, legal tone, and procedural terminology well, without misinterpretations or omission.
